The highest speeds I've been able to get this fan up to was 312 rpm, and that was when my CPU was at 111 deg C. The inside of the device has two fans, one sits at an idle 2k rpm, the other sits at 200 rpm. They lock the fans so you'll have to take complex measures to protect your device, and they engineer it to break after your warranty expires so you'll have to pay for repairs, or get a new device. Yeah, but do you not see how undervolting is far more complex than just making the fans move faster? This was a deliberate attempt by HP to limit the lifespan of your device.
